And the same goes for models that are published to Trimble Connect using the Trimble Connect web app. The same goes for SketchUp models that are published to Trimble Connect using the Trimble Connect extension for SketchUp Desktop. SketchUp models that are created using SketchUp for Web (which are all stored in Trimble Connect) will appear in the Recent Models list automatically, and SketchUp Viewer will automatically look for and open the latest versions of those models when you go to open them in the Viewer app. The SketchUp app Home screen offers a recent models list that includes a combination of models that live in Trimble Connect, and/or are saved to the SketchUp app folder on your iPhone/iPad (see the section below “Open From the Files App: SketchUp App Folder"). The information below offers an overview of the available options for opening and viewing models in SketchUp Viewer. With that said, we of course still offer an incredibly wide range of options for opening SketchUp files from just about any and every other imaginable place.

With these changes, we have focused on making it easier to work across devices and across SketchUp apps using Trimble Connect as the primary project management and collaboration platform for sharing models. With SketchUp Viewer v5.5 we have made some changes to the way Files are accessed and managed.
